Sicily, like most of the southern regions of Italy, is not that organized under an enterteinmental point of view (except, maybe, only for Taormina). That does not mean, though, that there aren't those big men we're looking for... Oh they're there! The only thing is to be smart and careful so that whatever cinema or bar will become a hunting place many times more arousing than any multiaccessored sauna!

L'ESPERIMENTO DEL DOTTOR EXIT ...ovvero "che gli orsi vengano a noi (il Giovedì)!"
Carissimi, qualcosa di nuovo sta nascendo a Palermo. Qualcosa di grosso, si direbbe. Peloso, barbuto, paffuto. Insomma, sapete tutti che il nostro gruppo non è formato da appassionati delle costruzioni con il Lego. UDITE, ORSI E CACCIATORI, UDITE... L'EXIT DISCOPUB, il noto pub gay di Palermo in Via S. Oliva 38 (ang. P. S. Francesco di Paola) ha appena dato il via a un interessante esperimento di socializzazione. Riservare nella SERATA DEL GIOVEDI' (e per tutte le settimane a venire) UNO SPAZIO PARTICOLARE AGLI ORSI E AI LORO AMMIRATORI. Per adesso, le serate non saranno esclusive (nel senso che il locale è comunque aperto alla clientela di sempre), ma si tratta di un esperimento fondamentale, affinchè in un futuro prossimo si possa giungere a delle serate cicliche tutte dedicate al mondo bear. Quindi, adesso, ORSI E CACCIATORI della città di Palermo, non avete più scuse. Sarà la presenza ha determinare la buona riuscita del progetto e a cementare un'abitudine che potrebbe conquistare un definitivo spazio (per quanto piccolo) a chi ama e pratica l'ambiente ursino. L'esperimento (un po' da Mad Docktor... ma a noi piace così) parte ufficialmente il 6 Gennaio 2005 (Proprio così: per la Befana!). L'orario di apertura del pub rimane quello di sempre, cioè le 22,00. Vi aspettiamo numerosi. C'è stata offerta un'opportunità da cogliere al volo, dobbiamo solo prenderci lo spazio che ci compete e trasformare queste serate settimanali in una piacevole abitudine. Allora, forse, uno di questi Giovedì ci si vede. All'Exit Pub di Palermo.

Piazzola Costa Gaia (Parking lot)
It's a parking lot on the highway on both sides of it. It's big with on the sides two small woods where you won't be seen. It on the highway "Mazara del Vallo - Palermo", around Km. 43. It's called Costa Gaia, sometimes people get there and ask documents to all. You'll find people in daytime or by night, but be sure to be careful!
SPIAGGIA A BALESTRATE (beach)
There's a gay beach in Balestrate. If you get the road to Alcamo you'll enter Balestrate, then going ahead towards Alcamo you'll pass by a slope. From there you'll see small woods close to the sea. It's very nice and lots of bears go there.
Cinema Orfeo [10-5D]
via Maqueda. Station. Bad mantained movie theater. Trash crowded. Ugly, dirt and bad? GREAT!!! Too many guys-for-rental maybe.
Cinema Etoile, Embassy sala A or B,
via Mariano Stabile. It's in front of the former headquarters of the communist paper L'Ora, which does not longer exist. Red light cinema. Try it! [Tuttocittà: 10-1B]
Spiaggia (Beach)
Nudist beach in Barcarello area. You can get there by bus getting off the bus at the main stop in Barcarello. Then walk on the rocks till you start seeing some movement. When you see the first big bear just relax over him, or get under him, and you're done!
Parking near the bay close to the lighthouse, by night and by day. A bear of the area tells us: "It was a dark night and I was nearby the lighthouse when suddendly, walking, I met a bear. Scared to death I falsely fainted and fell to the ground looking dead, but the bear did not stop, and bit my cock sucking it and licking it like nobody did before. The place is nice, there's lot of action, it's good for everybody, moreover bears".
Villa Bellini
The place is decading since the municipal authorities decided after 15 years to restore the Villa. In the 70s it was the place for storms of soldiers, dads... now there are just some habitué. It just can happen to see some hot meat cruising by. To eat it, though, it's better to go somewhere else.. Sometimes the police gets inside so don't mess around right there...
Le Lanne/ Piazza Grenoble
The place is not in its best period and it's full of for-rental-guys but it sometimes offre some theme variation with interesting bellies and fur (even over 40s for the specialists of the field). The only thing is to keep your eyes open. Sometimes bad people hang there. Remember the red light district is close.
Spiaggia Caito (beach)
It really doesn't seem a beach. It actually has rocks high on the sea. But it may be worth more than a walk.... people there are workers, young boys or small thieves... You must be careful. Sometimes the police gets there. To reach the Spiaggia just leave from inside the train station where the tracks end.
Autostrada A18 (A18 Freeway)
Messina Catania, service area ACI Sant'Antonio. Once truckers stopped by... If guys down there did not yet finish'em up you should find some there! Best experience in the weekdays.
"Open Mind", gay-lesbic-trans initiative center, Via Gargano, 33, Tel. 095/532685 -
It's what was born in 1990 after the end of local Arcigay. Now it's totally independent after having left the organization two years ago. The mood is soft and comfortable, some services offered like "a friend's voice" by phone (once it was the only gay initiative in all Sicily!). The club sets up several kind of meetings and activities like parties for self-financing, reunions on the hottest topic of the gay scene and so on... The library is currently under restoration by a friend of us, UGO!
CINEMA MESSINA
Via N. Giannotta, 15 (Picanello area)- It's the only red light movie theatre worth to be cited. High chances of catching over 40s and 50s real studs... Lots of movement here...
PEGASO'S DISCO PUB

Once the place of the Arcigay local center, now it's independently managed. In wintertime the Pub is assaulted by people of every kind coming from any corner of the island and from Calabria, most of which attracted by the crowded dark room. In the midst of that you could find some bellies, fur... but it's not for sure. The place is really full of people who partecipate also in thematical music evenings or other happenings.. In summertime the place is actually the large wood close to the beaches. Let's say is a kind of a beautiful big natural dark room, with two dance points, several pubs... The crowd is similar to that coming in wintertime with the exception of some american tourists. You can get there easily because as you get close you'll see lots of cars and "trendy blondies"...
SOTTOSOPRA

Nice little discopub with wide patio and small dance room. It's a place with mixed people. Be careful, then, 'cos it can happen that you'll find potential meat that may not like your fork. But interesting meetings happpen. Shows on sundays.
PARKING LOT
between the freeway exit of Acireale and Giarre heading to Messina. Some movements with every kind of shape-size-mood.
AUTOSTRADA A19
"Santa Barbara" Parking lot, 20 Km from Enna, heading to Catania with Highway A19. Woods there, very well visited by truckers and tourists... Lots of daddies and chubbyes" (thanks Sigfrid!)
Beach near SAN LEONE area. It's a part of a beach and a little wood crowded only in full daylight , all the seasons. If you're comin from San Leone the beach it's between the fifth and the sixth access to the beach (if you're coming from the Bar Le Dune the beach it's between the first and the second access to the beach) In summer it's a quiet place to stay and cruise, during winter some car use to cruise in the street near the beach looking for some adventure. In front to the Bar LE dune therer is a parking area where it's possibile to find something hot too.
RAILWAY SQUARE AND ROSSELLI SQUARE.
CIty, by night after 11pm. Not very crowded but interesting place. Between the two squares it's the place to walk, Rosselli sqare it's a big place like a big parking near the Astor Cine. It's not dangerous
ERACLEA MINOA BEACH
Summer - one of the most beautiful beach of Sicily! If you don't cuise this is a beautiful place to stay too ;) Highway 115 from Agrigento to Sciacca , the roadsing say "Eraclea" or "Cattolica" Follow the Eraclea signs and after 100 meters turn on the right (Archeological area) The road go up and after some turn you will find a circular parking near the Museo. Ok, let's park and enter the green gate near the beach. Walk 100 meters on the right (wonderful landscapes!) and finally you'll see a beach like Caraibi. Some nudist, action and some far hot sicilian fisherman crying from his boath "queer, queer!". Believe me, the fishermans just want to offer his (hidden) fish to you ;) .
SPIAGGIA SOVARETO
"It's a beach, but there's movement only from october to may. The place is the parking lot of Sovareto beach and the woods on the hill nearby. You'll find stuff mostly in daytime and afternoon, by night just straight couples. To get there just follow the indications for the hotel complex in SciaccaMare, and then go down to the beach. The place is not full yet, so we must contribute to its reputation going there often!" (thanks Michele!).
Close to the station, from there to via Garibaldi, when it gets dark you can see movements. Crusing by car.. You can find whoever here, truckers going round and round with real big trucks. A local specialty is people from Calabria walking here and there...
Stazione centrale e Stazione marittima
(it's a forced walkthrough if you get by ferry by foot or by car) - Places now not that crowded offer from time to time some unexpected surprise, mostly in wintertime and in the weekdays when the city is overwhelmed by a crowd of people from Calabria.
Cine Capitol
via n. Bixio 70 - Red light cinema. There's whoevere, not bad, not nice, some fur, some big guys, some gay.
Spiaggia (San Saba beach)
Nudist beach in the San Saba area. Not many chances for meetings but, at least, you can satisfy your eyes with the beautiful sicilians!
"In arab style - it's not a gay disco but there's many mans and boys looking for something or gay couples looking for dancing. It's near the Perroquet (gay) near Piazzetta Paladini. In the same Piazzetta you can find some people at the "Shatulle" too... " (thank you Gianluca!)

Discoteca Perroquet
P.za San Domenico 2 - Historical gay pub in Taormina, one of the places where tourists inevitably go looking for xxxx. Only on weekends (fri-sat-sun).
Spiaggia (Spisone beach)
Nudist beach in Spisone. Well known as "white rocks" it's a crowded beach with locals and young guys.
all around (Zona "Scala Greca", northern entrance of the city) - Crowded with cars and various types. Sometimes bear and even married... Lately there's been an invasion of trans and travestites but some bear always cruises around here.
CAPITOL CINEMA
(Zona S.Panagia, Northern city) - It's the only xxx red xxx cinema in town. You shouldn't have too high expectations but some "big" occasion may show up. Mostly visited by workers (the best for those who love that species)
PIAZZA PANTEON
, so called, it's a square close to Central Station - Even if there are mostly dried-up gays, you can also find blacks, africanos and more often guys in the 50s and 60s abitually cruising the area. It can be dangerous at night so... watch out.
